Welcome to the restaurant The Golden Swan (Den Gyldne Svane)

In The Golden Swan, you can eat as people did in the Middle Ages. The restaurant is furnished with an open fireplace, a common room with benches and plank tables, and the Knight Svane's distinguished dining room. The hall is decorated with frescoes, beautiful leaded glass windows, and a distinguished glazed tile floor. The food served is made according to Danish, German, and English recipes from the 14th to the 16th century. We work primarily with local ingredients.

 

Eating in the restaurant is a total experience for all the senses. The light is dim, there is medieval music, the fire crackles in the fireplace, and the food tastes different and spicy.

In The Golden Swan, we seek to give our guests an extra dimension in time travel by using the tastes and flavors of the Middle Ages.

The restaurant is open Monday-Sunday from 12-16 and serves the daily special. If you wish to order food from the menu, you must book a table and menu requests in advance.  You need to book a table by calling 93 40 05 46 or online.  Note - tables must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.

Guests do not need a ticket to the Medieval Center to eat in the restaurant. Simply tell the staff at the entrance that you wish to visit the restaurant only.
